Blackberry Storm commercial designed to make iPhone users laugh?
I just saw this ad on TiVo and was laughing my head off…
“Wow, a touch screen!” (like the iPhone)
“It clicks?” (iPhone)
“You’ve never clicked a screen before!” (unless you have an iPhone)
“What kind of mad genius is behind this?” (Apple? – oh no, wait, Verizon
.
I think they’re going for the “Apple people will make fun of us and talk about this commercial” approach. It worked (except that the first video of it I found had been pulled on YouTube, and Verizon.com/Verizonwireless.com doesn’t seem to have it anywhere I can find…).
If you find this video somewhere official, let me know and I’ll point to it.

Always amuses me when Apple users seem to forget other “lesser known” companies… like Palm or Handspring.

Yes, but they use a stylus – the Storm’s interface and features look almost exactly like the iPhone, yet here they’re advertising it like it’s something very new. I notice I don’t see this particular ad any more – they now are careful to say its the first touch-screen Blackberry, to make it a more accurate statement.
